This article is about typical registration process at microstocks such as Dreamstime and Shutterstock. Usually, all you need for registration is to fill in a few fields, and it takes about 10-15 minutes.

Dreamstime is a good stable stock photography agency. It is especially interesting for beginners as it does not require any exams or additional documents for the registration.

4. You can read the rules and the agreement. Tick the box «I agree with the terms and conditions».

5. Then you should tick the box «Fill in all account information (including referrer / promotional code if this is the case)» and you get a full form. Sometimes, this option does not expand the form, and it is initially opened: (When there is no option like this, you have a full form to fill in at the beginning).

6. Then you should fill in the fields.
Desired login: desired username. Enter any desired nickname - the main thing that it shouldn’t be already used by someone else. This username will be used to access the site and it will appear under your photos to be visible for everybody. You can enter the first and last names separated by spaces. If you click «Check username» you can check if it is free.
Password: password. Think of a password that is more than 6 characters. I recommend you to write it down not to forget it soon.
Email address: Your email. I recommend to use a reliable e-mail provider like gmail.com.
Enter the code displayed below: it is protection from automatic registration. Simply enter the numbers shown there.

Next, fill in your personal information.

First name: name. Do not forget that all fields are filled with Latin - «English» letters. If you don’t know how to write you name/last name in English you can find spelling of it on your credit card or foreign passeport. For example, Ivan (or John).
Last name: Last name. For example, Ivanov (or Johnson).
Web site: Your website (optional)
Company: Your company where you work (optional)
City: The city where you live. For example, Moscow.
Address: address of residence. For example, «Pushkinskaya street 50-15» (50 - home 15 - flat). If the house has building 2 it would be something like «Pushkinskaya street, 50, building 2, apt. 15 ».
Country: Choose your country. For example, Russian Federation
State: it makes sense for countries with the division into states. This field is optional.
Zip Code: Postal Code.
Phone: phone
Referral / promotional bonus code: referral code. You can enter res832333 – it’s my referral code.
How did you find us: how did you find us? You can enter Microphotostocker.com
Your photo: optional. You can send your photo or a picture.
Bio / Artistic statement: You can write a little about yourself.
Optional information (photographers only) - The following is optional.
You can fill in the information:
Equipment: - Your camera - digital, film or both.
Equipment details: you can specify a particular model of camera.
Favorite subjects: favorite subjects for shooting. For example, people, nature.
Photographer's photo ID: optional.

7. Click the button «Submit». You will receive an email confirming the registration. Now you can sign in using your login and password and begin to upload images.

Shutterstock can be very profitable and it begins to produce income almost immediately after passing the exam. Let’s start the process of registration.

1. Go to the site http://submit.shutterstock.com

2. Click «Not a Member? Sign Up to make $ $ $ now!». You’ll see the registration form:

3. Marked fields must be filled in.

Full Name - first and last name.
Desired Display Name - name that will appear under each photo in your portfolio. You can use your first and last names or invent a nickname.
Desired Username - your user name, login. You will use this username to log in to the website.
Address - the address. For example, Pushkinskaya street 50-15.
Address Line 2 - Second line to enter the address (if it does not fit in one line). Optional field.
City - the city where you live. For example, Moscow.
State - important for countries with division into states. In case of Russia, for example, you can repeat the city.
Zip - zip code.
Email Address – your e-mail address. I recommend to use a reliable and proven provider of postal (mailing?) services, for example - gmail.com.
Country - Country.
Payout Method - a choice of: PayPal or MoneyBookers or Check by Postal Mail (a check can mean quite a long time to receive). If you have already an account in a payment system - you can select it. Otherwise you will be able to add this information in your profile afterwards.
Payout Email Address - e-mail address that is used for MoneyBookers or PayPal. If registration has not been made yet - you may leave this field blank.
Desired Password - your password.
Enter Password Again - repeat the password.
How Did You Hear About Us? - How did you learn about the Shutterstock. Required field. You can enter Microphotostocker.com.
Other agencies - you can enter links to your portfolio at other photo stock agencies. Optional field.

4. As a result completed form will look like this:

5. Upload documents page:

You will need to download an electronic copy of any kind of personal identity document.
Click the button Choose and select file (a scan or photo copy saved in jpg in medium quality, medium resolution - about 1200x1000) and click the button Upload.
The registration is almost complete. You should get acquainted with the rules of Shutterstock. Then just wait for some time until you will receive document’s verification notice and you will be able to start to upload 10 images for exams (resolution not less than 4 Mp, good quality, 10-15 keywords, no copyrighted materials or logos in the image, no people without model releases).
